On this walking tour of Aarhus highlights, we will visit first ‘Den Gamle By’ (The Old Town), a unique attraction that will take us on a fascinating journey back in time.
Here you will meet people dressed and acting as folk did at the end of the 19th century. See how people lived and worked in 1927 and take a walk through a section of a 1970s town in Denmark; complete with streets, townhouses, shops, backyards, and workshops, re-erected exactly as they did in the past.
Later, we will discover many of the more important structures of the city, not to be missed are its: modern museum ARoS, one of the largest museums in Northern Europe whose roof offers a panoramic view of the city. St. Clemens Cathedral built in the Romanesque style in 1201. The rather unusual Town Hall, designed by Arne Jacobsen and Erik Møller.
