Birmingham City Centre Walking Tour
Birmingham’s motto is ‘Forward’ and it’s a city is constantly evolving. The tour starts at the famous ‘Bull Ring’ around which, the medieval market town of Birmingham was founded. Then you will continue through bustling main streets and quiet back roads, through Victoria Square and into the area known as ‘Paradise’ which is currently undergoing extensive regeneration.
A brief visit to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery will be next, and you will see the famous Pre Raphaelite collection and the Saxon Hoard. At the new Library of Birmingham you will visit the secret garden where you can enjoy far reaching panoramic views of the city and surrounding areas. Then you will walk through Brindley Place and Gas Street where you will discover why Birmingham has the reputation for having “more canals than Venice”. Your canal side stroll brings you to the Mailbox with its variety of high end stores and wide variety of restaurants and cafes to stop for a drink or food.
