If you are coming for one day on your cruise, Florence: the heart of Tuscany is a must see. Narrow streets, renaissance, painting, statues, artists, food.. You will find it all!
From Livorno, the 1st stop will be Michelangelo square, the hill from where you can gaze out from this amazing city overview while noticing a replica of the David.
We will work our way down into the city for a grand walking tour where you will see such historical places as Ponte Vecchio “The Old Bridge”, Signoria Square where the Master Pieces have lived for centuries and the site of your lunch break.
We will people watch while enjoying a fabulous typical Italian culinary surprises. After lunch we can spend time shopping in the famous old leather market’s near the wild boar, the Church of Orsammichele, Piazza Repubblica, the Duomo of Santa Maria in Fiore and the door of Paradise.
Our last stop will be the Accademia where you can enjoy the original statue of David. As the Tuscan sun sets, we will make our way back to Rome, but not before experience the famous gelato.
