On this tour, we will drive along the “Golden Circleâ€, a route that covers around 230 kilometers which connects some of the most important attractions of Iceland.
The Golden Circle consists of three equally stunning locations in southwest Iceland: Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir Geothermal Area, and Gullfoss waterfall.
These sites are renowned across the world and are all as spectacular as they are unique. None of them is further than a two hour’s drive from Reykjavik, and thus all three can be visited within a day. 
The national park “Thingvellir†is the first highlight of the Golden Circle. Here the first parliament was once held and you can walk through the rift caused by the continental drift of the European and the American continental plates.
Next is the area of the world-famous Geysir. With regular intervals, you can observe how Strokkur shoots up to 20m into the air.
The last highlight on this route is the waterfall Gullfoss that takes on a golden shine when the sun is low – thus the name “golden waterfallâ€.
