On this tour, we will visit Villa del Balbianello, one of the wonders of Lake Como where several movies have been filmed. Located on the tip of a green peninsula, this magnificent property has many stories to tell and collections to discover, together with being a spectacular place!
We’ll reach Balbianello, in the town of Lenno, with a scenic cruise by public ferry or hydrofoil. The ferry will sail slowly among villages, villas, and gardens. It will be possible to spot Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Villa Oleandra, George Clooney’s retreat, and much more.
Once in Lenno, we will have time for a quick lunch and then we’ll reach Balbianello by water taxi for a private visit of the gardens and the villa, with the library, the Expeditions museum and the rooms in which lived Guido Monzino, an Italian explorer with a fascinating personality. In the afternoon, we will cruise back to Como.
