On this tour you will be enchanted by the small villages and special framework architecture of Lusatia in the eastern part of Saxony – away from the crowded tourist destinations. It is rich in culture and customs and it is the home of a slavic national minority – the sorbs or wends. And you will enjoy a fascinating countryside.
Starting from Dresden you will pass by the old city of Bautzen and get to Herrnhut. After a walking tour of the Church and graveyard, you will visit the manufacture of the Moravian Star or the Star of Bethlehem.
Then you will continue to Obercunnersdorf to see the beautiful and unique architecture of the frame work houses.
The last stop will be Stolpen to see the fortress where the Saxon ruler Augustus sent his most famous mistress Anna Constantia.
