Peaky Blinders Tour

Peaky Blinders television show sets in the period after WWI and throughout the 1920’s, captivating audiences from around the world.
On this tour you will find out about the rise and fall of the real Peaky Blinders and hear stories of the life and times of hardworking ‘Brummies’ who were terrorised by these and other ‘slogging gangs’.
At the Black Country Living Museum, known as the ‘Official Home of Peaky Blinders’ you will explore the used filming locations for the series.
This wonderful museum houses many buildings typical of the era and helps us go back in time to experience the living and working conditions that still exist in the memory of people who grew up in the inner city areas.
A few of the remaining Birmingham back streets that are mentioned in the series such as Garrison Lane, site of the original Garrison Inn, Navigation Street so called because of its canal-side location and the site where once stood the BSA factory in Small Heath can still be found.
You will walk through Charlie Strong’s Yard, where the ‘Tea Party’ took place to celebrate Arthur becoming a father. Explore real back-to-back houses, cruise the canal on a narrow boat, experience a Victorian school lesson, stop for lunch in ‘The Garrison’ for pie and mash washed down with a pint of real ale and later take-away a traditional fish and chip supper.
