Departing from the port of Salerno this morning you will go directly to Pompeii, for a private guided tour of the ruins from 79 AD which were destroyed by the Volcano Vesuvius.
Ruins here include the frescoed Villa of the Mysteries and the city’s amphitheater. In town, the Catholic pilgrimage site of the Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Rosary has mosaics and a grand cupola.
Then you will go to enjoy a Wine Tasting Lunch in a wonderful Winery that sits on Mount Vesuvius and after lunch, we will drive to Sorrento, a town overlooking the Bay of Naples.
Once you get to Sorrento you will explore the little town and taste locally grown food, homemade wine, cheese, limoncello, and preserves
