During this amazing full-day tour, you will see all the most popular sights and experience the best parts of Rhodes Island. You’ll see all of the things you would see on an ordinary tour, and also the special things that make Rhodes great. The tour includes the Historical Buildings and the Old Harbor (Colossus of Rhodes), the Acropolis of Rhodes, the temple of Apollo and the Greek Stadium with the panoramic view of Rhodes Town. Then you will drive southeast 52km / 32 miles to Lindos, and on the way, you will visit the Anthony Quinn Bay.
Then a short stop at a traditional pottery workshop to watch a demonstration of how the famous Rhodian potteries are made. You will also see the Saint Paul’s bay, the Village and the Acropolis of Lindos.
Break for a relaxing lunch at a small seaside village at the Mediterranean Sea right on the water’s edge, with fresh seafood / Rhodian cuisine and excellent local wines. At the beginning and at the end of the tourist season, the restaurant at the sea may change with a traditional Greek restaurant. After the lunch break your tour guide will drive you from the East to the West Coast where you will see: the Valley of the Butterflies (the Butterflies are in the valley from end of June to 15th of September. Before and after this dates you can drive through the valley, scenery, without stop and visit). Next stops are the traditional winery (local wines free taste is available from May to October), the Ancient Acropolis of Ialyssos and through Ixia, back to Rhodes Old Town, for independent browsing, or to the ship. The Medieval City (Old City) is a 10 min flat walk from the cruise port.
