Through the most beautiful sites of the Old city of Nafplio, you will discover hidden culinary treasures in selected food shops, where you will taste some of the finest cheese, wine, coffee, and ice cream available.
At the same time, you will visit the most famous monuments of the city, such as the Catholic Church, the square of St. Spyridon, the square of Saint George and the Old City which will introduce you to the long and wonderful history of the city.
The first foodie stop will be at a traditional grocery store where you will taste local varieties of cheese and sausage and learn their manufacturing secrets by the owner.
Then we will head to the heart of the city: Syntagma Square to find one of many coffee shops you will taste traditional Greek coffee and learn more about this historic square and the surrounding buildings.
Continuing your tour you will pass through the neighborhood of ” Yialos’ for some local varieties of wines in a cellar-wine shop, while the owner narrates the art of wine.
This culinary tour will end in an authentic traditional ice cream shop, and with the ice cream in hand, we will walk to the beach of Nafplio to admire the Venetian fortress of Mpourtzi and to learn more about its historic existence over the centuries.
