Wachau Valley and Wine Tour

On this tour, we will drive along with the lovely scenery on the river Danube between Melk and Krems to Wachau Valley. The area is one hour and a half driving away from Vienna and it preserves intact and visible traces of its evolution since prehistoric times, in terms of architecture, (monasteries, castles, ruins), urban design, (towns and villages), and agricultural use, principally for the cultivation of vines.
You will discover a beautiful and cultivated landscape of castles, vineyards on terraces and orchards.
The visit to the museum of the Melk Abbey (Stift Melk) is one of the highlights of the tour. You will be amazed by the dimensions of the splendid building complex of the Abbey and its unique and rich baroque decoration.
The Wachau Valley is inscribed as “Wachau Cultural Landscape” in the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites.
We will have later a wine tasting in vinotheks or/and in wine producer’s tavern.
