After a drive from Cologne, we will arrive at Königswinter, where you will take an ancient cog railway up to Drachenfels plateau for an amazing view of the Rhine valley. Halfway down the hill you will visit Drachenburg Castle that was built in the late 19th century for a nobleman with local roots.
You will enjoy a 50 min guided tour and some time for lunch before descending back into Königswinter from where we will go to Bonn, Germany’s former capital city.
We will visit Ludwig van Beethoven’s birthplace was born in 1770 – 250 ago – and you’ll be part of this big jubilee! After the museum visit, your guide will give you a short orientation walk through Bonn before you will go back into Cologne.
