Munich Highlights Walking Tour
Your private tour starts in Marienplatz, Mary’s Square. It has always been the center of Munich back to when the area was first settled by Benedictine Monks. From there you will move on to the Viktualienmarkt, the daily market which started as a simple farmer’s market. It is a great place to throw your feet up and people watch. After a short visit to the nearby Holy Ghost Church you will continue to the Hofbrauhaus, the royal Brewery and head to the “Italian Area”. Here stands the “Feld Marshall’s Hall” modelled after the “Loggia dei Lanzi” in Florence, the beautiful baroque “Theatiner Kirche” and the royal Residence! Other point of interests that you will see during this tour: Richard Strauss Fountain, St. Peter’s Church, Munich city and Jewish Museums, Royal Court Garden.
