Departing from your hotel or cruise ship port, we will go on a quick panoramic tour of the town, visiting the Cathedral, the Normans Palace, the 4 Corners, Pretoria Square and Martorana Church.
We will then drive up to the hill of Monreale to discover The Monastery of Monreale built at the end of the XII century by William II, the Norman king of Sicily, it’s a mix of Sicilian and Byzantine style. The highlight of the Cathedral is its interior, full of amazing golden mosaics, all over the walls of the nave, aisles, transept, and apse – more than 80 thousand SF in total.
At the end of the visit to Monreale, we drive for approx 45 min to Cefalù, a medieval town faced on the Tyrrenian sea. The Norman style dominates the town, the stunning Cathedral, the magnificent pedestrian path, and the beautiful coast is a gift of mother nature to Sicily and the tourists decide to visit this marvelous place.
