Departing from Londonderry city we will cross the border into the Beautiful Donegal, a county with breathtaking scenery, golden beaches, rugged islands and a beautiful array of wildlife.
We will make our way to high ground where the majestical fort “An Grianan of Aileach” sits. On this hilltop, we will take in the mind-blowing panoramic views on the Inishowen Peninsula before walking to the fort to discover 2000 years of history.
Traveling through the Inishowen peninsula towards “Fort Dunree” we will wander around this aged military camp and learn of the local military history. Onwards we travel to “Doagh Famine Village where we will learn about the local life, from times of the Great Famine to present-day Ireland.
Finally, we will make our way to the most northerly point on the Island of Ireland “Malin Head” and before returning to Derry we will stop in a local pub where we will enjoy a pint of Guinness with locals!
